"What's Your Y?"
Story: The Marathon brings runners and spectators alike from across the country and globe to Chicago. Each person has their own motivations, and what drives them to train, travel, race or experience the event. We want to hear these stories. Not just how they do it, this year, we asked them why?
5,650 thousand tonnes of plastic pollution will enter the ocean in the time it takes to run this marathon – making the message relevant and impactful.
RECOVERY BAGS
While 40k runners are racing to the finish line, the race’s official recovery bags are running out of time. They are made with Lyfecycle self-destructing plastic which will safely return to nature if not recycled first.
OUR Y
In turn, we shared our story too. At Lyfecycle, we want to tell you why we’ve brought the world’s first plant-based, recyclable, and biodegradable plastic bags to the race. We have an opportunity to stop 450m tons of plastic from reaching our oceans by 2040.
